Tropical Storm Idalia Forms

As of 11:15 AM Eastern, the National Hurricane Center announced that Tropical Storm Idalia has officially formed. Per NHC, storm surge and wind watches for portions of Florida's west coast will likely be announced later today.

  1. From Tuesday into Wednesday, 3 to 6 inches, with isolated higher totals of 10 inches in portions of the west coast of Florida, the Florida Panhandle, and southern Georgia.

  2. Heavy rainfall is also likely to spread into portions of the
    Carolinas by Wednesday into Thursday.
